How to get one-to-one support with your application
Our Teacher Training Adviser (TTA) service is a free service that provides you with tailored, one-to-one support from an experienced teacher throughout the application process. You’ll get your own dedicated adviser who knows the teacher training process inside out and is on hand to give you any extra help you need.
Former Assistant Head Danielle talked us through her role as a TTA and the advice she is able to offer candidates to give them the best chance of securing a place on a teacher training course.
“As a Teacher Training Adviser I have the exciting role of helping candidates secure a place on a teacher training course. I can offer bespoke guidance at every stage of the application and as an ex teacher, I can offer advice on writing an effective personal statement and pass on relevant interview tips. I am always on hand to answer any questions you may have about others things too such as funding, skills tests and even what to wear at interview!
Having come from a wealth of teaching experience that covers all age ranges and subjects, I thrived on helping not only the children to achieve, but the staff too. In my final role as Assistant Head, I loved to develop the curriculum and assessment to ensure what I offered was best for the children and staff in school. This led to lots of consulting and training with other professionals and supporting them gave me the desire to become an adviser in the area of education.
There is no better feeling than starting this teacher training journey with a candidate and going through each step, encouraging, motivating and ultimately praising them when they achieve a place on a course. Knowing I have been part of bringing amazing people to the teaching profession is the greatest reward.”
